		<description>The creature in the USA woods doesn&#039;t like his nickname Bigfoot as it brings attention to what he sees as his most embarrassing feature. And hence he prefers to be known as Sasquatch. 

Seriously though, some people call the species Sasquatch rather than Bigfoot. I think this is because giving it a name that sounds Native American gives a bit of authenticity, i.e., it must be true - the natives even have legends about it.

Lots of places have different names for these creatures. There is one in Russia (can&#039;t remember the name) and there is another Bigfoot creature in the Florida Everglades called a Skunk Ape - it looks like an ape and smells really bad. (He prefers to be called Stephen and he also doesn&#039;t like having his embarrassing problem mentioned.)</description>
